Elephant: New friends, New faces

Chiara & Angelo – Heygate estate 2008

I first lifted a camera because I could not draw. It was a simple craving for expression in a school system that favors some and yet fails many. Now happiness comes with the new friends and people that my camera introduces me too. That moment of realisation, when consideration braves the question as to how I could have found this way of life without a driving ambition to take photographs that mean something to me. It is surely a beautiful thing that brings a smile on this muggy friday morning, and despite the uncertainties that cloud the futuristic glance, I wouldn’t want to change a thing…after all I have new friends that offer more hope than material wealth ever could.
