Elephant: Angelo, Chiara, Shinske

What a difference a couple of weeks makes. I am loving photography again. The camera, the subject, the routine is working, taking pictures feels good once more. I am enjoying this course, and throughout the first term, I learnt ways to sharpen up my style and approach to details in the frame. These details, however, were running riot in my mind until two weeks ago – I was unable to apply them.

Now this has changed, and I am shooting everyday as a welcome and seemingly trusted observer in the Heygate. A few days ago I brought some work back to a few of the squats and it was well received. I felt this a necessary decision to stake my seriousness and commitment to documenting their lives and routine.

Deadline is in a few weeks and I still have a lot to do, time to focus and channel direction, but fun will still be had, that seems here to stay…at least for now.
